Robert Neathery Skate Park

Skateboard enthusiasts will find the Robert Neathery Skate Park provides a challenging layout designed especially for their sport. A skate shop is conveniently located next to the park and can provide additional Skate Park information. Phone (417) 256-6860.

City Parks and Walking Trails

The community offers an extensive park system which provides scenic views throughout the entire city.Within the City of West Plains, eleven parks are available for recreation with some providing playgrounds, pavilions, picnic tables and grills. The city also provides an aquatics park, as well as baseball/softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts and walking parks. The Missouri Conservation Department also has a beautiful nature trail with fish ponds and park benches. The building has a gift shop and many free publications on Missouri’s flowers, birds, fish, wildlife and more.

West Plains Motor Speedway

West Plains Motor Speedway is a 100-acre motorsports facility located 6 miles south of West Plains on U.S. Hwy. 63. Featured weekly, IMCA Modifieds, Super Stock, Hobby Stock, Cruisers and the Youth Hobby Stock divisions race on Saturday nights beginning in March and running through September.

Motorsports enthusiasts are amazed at the power and excitement of grass roots racing on the 3/8 mile red clay oval while a premier event is hosted each Memorial Day weekend. The “Show-Me 100” attracts drivers from all across the nation as they converge to qualify and compete for the total purse of over $200,000. The complex will accommodate over 12,000 fans and racers and is rated as one of the “finest dirt track facilities in the nation.”

Fans can enjoy the action from their choice of molded contour seating, ground level bleachers or high-rise stadium style seating. On-site camping is available free of charge offering clean restrooms, showers, water fill and a dump station for motorhomes. Full service food and souvenir concessions are conveniently located within the facility along with acres of free parking.
