Labor More than any other factor of production, the size and characteristics of the labor force determines the amount of total output possible for an economy to produce. The larger the labor force, the more goods and services it will be capable of producing. The labor force in the Ozark Heritage Region has shown a consistent growth of 23% in the last fifteen years. Much of the region’s workforce is well versed in assembly, metal fabrication, wood working, and other hands-on skills. Additionally, the local vocational and secondary educational facilities work closely with area industries to better prepare our workforce for the future. There are six vocational technical schools in the Ozark Heritage Region. Each school offers customized training programs to meet business requirements. Specific schools offer advanced computer automation and robotics training as well as mobile facilities for onsite training requirements. Largest area manufacturers
